Exploration Station

Science Fun with Exploration Station!

Come visit Exploration Station and have fun learning about ways your body works and how to keep it healthy!  Our Imaginators will do one of these three activities six days a week.  Check our programming calendar for dates and times.

Sense Sensory Game
Children learn to use their five senses through different activities.  They test their senses in games to guess what they are hearing, seeing, touching, feeling, or tasting!  They’ll learn about how important their senses are to everyday life!

We’ve Got the Beat
Children learn about how their heart works, feel and see their heartbeat using a heart monitor, and learn what happens to their heart rate when they exercise!  They can see their heart beat on the computer screen, listen to it, and dance to its music.

The Pyramid Game
Play the Pyramid Game!  Climb the food pyramid and learn about healthy diet and exercise!  This is a great way for children to learn how to incorporate a healthy diet and exercise to create a healthy body and mind.  Spin the spinner and learn about the different foods that make up the food pyramid.  Children even discover new foods they might not have heard of.  After going down the path and learning about foods, the children land on a number and choose an exercise like fifteen jumping jacks.
