Help Us Build Future Leaders, Problem Solvers, and Creative Thinkers

Did you know that play builds the foundation in young children for future success? Play is so important to optimal child development that it has been recognized as a right of every child by the United Nations High Commission of Human Rights. Play stimulates healthy brain growth, builds cognitive and emotional skills, and is a way for children to learn who they are, how the world works, how to solve problems and how to express their feelings.

Imagine It! offers children experiences which help shape them into life-long learners and introduce them to a world where children from all walks of life play and learn together. By supporting our Annual Fund, you can help provide essential funding for innovative exhibits, family programming, multicultural celebrations, field trip experiences, and help us welcome children and families with financial or transportation challenges.

While admissions and membership are essential revenue resources, only 60% of our operating budget is generated from these areas. As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations from our friends, community and corporate partners to help us share the “power of play” with thousands of young children each year.

How does your investment in the power of play make a difference?

$12.75 offers a disadvantaged child an opportunity to experience the Museum
$51 welcomes a financially challenged family of 4 to the Museum free of charge
$100 sends an Imaginator, one of our professional actors/educators, to visit a Title I school
$250 gives one homeless child a full week of summer Explorer Camp
$500 provides free transportation on our eco-friendly bus, Imagine It! Express, for a field trip or a school group

Now more than ever, families need to enjoy quality time together, and every child deserves a place where they can experience the joy of learning and gain the skills that they will need to be successful in life. Since our opening six years ago, Imagine It! has become that special place in our community where children and their families can play, learn and experience so much more.
