How far in advance do I have to book?
As soon as your visit dates are confirmed. The earlier you reserve your spot, the better. We want all of our schools to get their first choice.
If I make an advance reservation and have to change, cancel or adjust my reservation what will I need to do?
Call our reservation coordinator at 404.527.3693 as soon as possible.
Is there a penalty if we cancel or don't show?
We request that you cancel at least two weeks in advance to allow other schools who may be on a waiting list to book your space. Groups that fail to cancel may be required to pay in advance prior to their next visit.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For school groups we accept school checks, cash or credit cards. (Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX)
How many students can you accommodate at one time?
167 students and one chaperone for every five students (33 chaperones). The museum has a field trip capacity at 200.
Can field trips come at any time?
Field trips are scheduled Monday — Friday at 10:00 AM.
What time should we arrive?
You should plan on arriving no later than 9:45 AM. Your field trip will begin promptly at 10 A.M.

Where should the bus drop off the students?
We recommend that the children and chaperones get dropped off on Baker Street.
What do we do when we arrive?
Your bus will be greeted by our Imaginators. They will board the bus and give a brief orientation to your students, teachers and chaperones. The students will then enter through the field trip entrance, right into the museum. The lead teacher will be asked to have a final count of: children, and children under the age of 2 and all adults.
Who should the check be made payable to?
Please make all school checks out to Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta.
My check is made out for more than the number of children who showed up. Do I get a refund?
All check payments are final and refunds will not be issued for any reason. Whenever possible, it's always best to not have the check amount filled out until actual day.
We are tax exempt, what do we do?
You MUST provide the reservation coordinator with your form prior to your visit. Forms can not be accepted at time of arrival. Refunds cannot be issued for tax paid. Please ensure all forms have been received and your order is accurate prior to arrival.
Where and when will we eat?
The museum has picnic-like tables in the back of the museum. Museum staff will notify the lead teacher with the lunch schedule.
Should our students bring in their lunch or leave it on the bus?
We recommend you bring your lunches into the museum, unless you plan on eating at Centennial Olympic Park.
Where can we park our bus?
Buses will only be permitted to load and unload on Baker Street. Bus parking will be available at the GWCC bus parking lot. Bus drivers must remain with the bus at all times. Bus drivers will receive a voucher from our staff member. The GWCC parking lot offers a bus driver lounge while you wait. Please make sure all teachers have a way to contact the bus driver.

We offer a limited menu through Chick-fil-A. If you would like to arrange a Chick-fil-A lunch, please call our reservations coordinator at 404.527.3693. You place the order at least 3 days before your visit.
